After selling out a slew of dates last winter (as a warm-up act mind you) and an appearance on the ever-trendy OC, The Subways have definitely shown why they’re worthy of a bigger stage.
Their Sire records debut, Young For Eternity, is packed with sweet acoustic youthfulness, catchy Brit-pop (think Oasis minus the drama and production budget), punk rock rambunctious-ness and a twangy blues style straight from the garage. Their cover of TV on the Radio’s “Staring At The Sun,” is an Internet favorite, and the single sales for “Rock n’ Roll Queen” (the one played on the OC), have been impressive as well.
This March they will return to headline their first U.S. tour in support of Young For Eternity. This trio is definitely on the rise, so expect these shows to sell out, (no Denver date, what’s up with that?).
