PURE DRAMA GETS AIRPLAY ON XM’S UNSIGNED
Ryan from Pure Drama read the Kaffeine Buzz article on getting your music on XM Radio’s Unsigned station and promptly got their music out to them. This week, the band received a notice from XM that not only is their music getting airplay, but their song “Please Be Concerned” is one of the most played on the Unsigned Channel.” Yeah I’m pretty stoked. It was definitely a crazy day when I heard the news, as just an hour beforehand I got an email from a film student out in England who actually made a video for our track “Holy”. Two extremely cool bits o news for one day indeed,” says Ryan. Congrats guys! Good Job! To hear even more Pure Drama, check out www.dropthefear.com to hear tracks featuring members of PD. The band is also working on their next 4 song EP, which they plan to release in the near future. Stay tuned.
GET DRESSED IN BESSY
Denver darlings Dressy Bessy have new T-Shirts for sale, which they plan to pack up as they set out on the road for a nine city tour in December, taking them through OK, MO, Nashville, Detroit and up through IL. In addition to rocking the Carson Daly stage back in October, their “Girl You Shout” video is getting props on MTV. You can check out the video at http://www.mtv.com/bands/az/dressy_bessy/artist.jhtml and get your holiday shopping going at http://www.dressybessy.com/t-shirtsmore.htm.
Dr. Neptune Calls Time Out, But No Break up
“Don’t worry, we’re all getting along just fine. No breakup or anything,” comments Ross from DRN. This year the band had averaged around eight shows a month; a lot for anyone to manage. “When you add this to the time it takes to book and promote each show (printing and posting flyers, posting on various websites/our website, email lists, etc.) and the constant practicing it takes to keep the songs tight, there’s just not enough time in the day to take care of anything else. We feel the best thing for the band to do this winter is to focus on promoting the band, and writing new music.” They still have some gigs scheduled for November, including the Boldtype CD release show at Certantes this Friday, and November 26 with King Rat at Lions Lair.
In other news…Core of the Earth launched their new site a few weeks ahead of time. You can check it out at www.coreoftheearth.com. The band is also working recording on a new CD at the Clear Gravity Studios…Kelli*Said releases their two CDs next weekend, November 28 at the Soiled Dove, playing with Devouring Saturn, Endangered and Release…Stevehed from Aggressive Persuasion wants to let you all know they have two new tracks up at www.mp3.com/aggressivepersuasion, until for at least the next few weeks until MP3.com is no longer.
