Rainville – The Longest Road in America

To say that Rainville makes honest American music; I’d say is just about right on the money. With the release of The Longest Road in America, this Colorado band manifests gritty, hard hitting alternative country tunes like “Wasted Away”, “5 Dollar Shower” and “She Scared Me”, which are reminiscent of Uncle Tupelo, Whiskeytown, and others in the tub of heart wrenching and gut busting musical travels.

The soulful and lonesome ballads, “Road Between Two Towns”, and “Let Me Come Back Home” nod in the direction of legends in their own time, Hank Williams and Bob Dylan. They even seem to pluck at the bluesy strings of Tom Waits on “How ’bout You?”.
All in all, wonderful musicianship and true, honest writing make The Longest Road in America a true joy to listen to.

On this album Rainville has captured the sound of Colorado and the West in general.
BRAVO!
