The Kaffeine Buzz Show – SXSW 2016 Edition – Episode 1

The Kaffeine Buzz show has been on a bit of hiatus over the past year, and now we’re taking the timing of this podcast relaunch to align with SXSW 2016.

Our plans for The Kaffeine Buzz show will coincide with our other planned coverage, which beyond Music, will include Interactive, Film, SXstyle, SXsports, Comedy, the parties and the mayhem, along with interviews, on-the-ground stories, and photo essays of all the action.

To date SXSW, which celebrates its 30th year of music programming in 2016, has released three rounds of showcasing artists that will be performing from March 15th through the 20th.

This first SXSW Edition of The Kaffeine Buzz Show features the following artists:

The members of Viola Beach – Kris Leonard, River Reeves, Tomas Lowe, and Jack Dakin – were scheduled to perform at SXSW this year as part of the BBC Introducing and PRS showcase. Their tragic car accident in the early morning of Saturday has left families and friends stunned and in mourning. Their manager, Craig Tarry, was known well by my friend and Amazing Radio host, Shell Zenner, and she had interviewed Viola Beach in the first week of January, having attended their gigs over the past year. A portion of that interview is used with permission in this podcast, and many thanks and hugs go out to her. You can listen to the full interview with Shell Zenner and Viola Beach here.

Buy Viola Beach “Swings and Waterslides” on iTunes.
