Ladytron, Datarock – Tuesday, June 3 – Gothic Theatre – Englewood – 8pm, $20 ADV/$22.50 DOS, 16+ Music created with an electronic style foundation is fabulous on the dance floor, coming from headphones or car speakers. But in a live setting, the visuals don’t always accompany the vibrancy of the sound, leaving fans watching two or more people stare at laptops from the stage. In those scenarios, it’s often more enjoyable to people watch or just submerse oneself into the music with eyes closed and body moving.
There is something to be said for those artists that are adamant about doing what they can to recreate their studio magic before audience. While this level of dedication is growing among bands, it is still a rarity, one that Ladytron was set on early on.
This Tuesday, Ladytron comes into Denver as part of their spring tour, bringing Datarock in tow. This is going to be a sweaty night, as the two bands pack a rhythmic punch where only the dead will be still.
