With their sixth installment, Hopeless Records delivers their annual compilation, Hopelessly Devoted to You, with an extra punch this summer in Volume 6. Normally around three dollars, the comp is always one of the better label collections out there.
This year they’ve outdone themselves.
Along with the standard assembly of album tracks and unreleased joints from current roster bands like Ever We Fall, Royden, and Nural, they’ve added a second disc, a retrospective of bands from the labels past, including the Guttermouth track “Hopeless,” the song that named the label. They didn’t stop there, throwing in a DVD with 28 videos from all Hopeless bands past and present.
Even though their current roster isn’t as diverse and strong as it has been, having lost label powers Thrice and Avenged Sevenfold to the majors, they still have talented players, and where else can you get 2 discs and a DVD for $5.98?
