Gary Numan is just one of a number of artists I’ve finally been able to see live after being a fan for decades. His performance at the Gothic Theatre last night, and that of his band, clearly exceeded any expectations the crowd, and then some.
The beginning of the show launched with Numan behind the keyboards, performing the entire The Pleasure Principle album, ending the first half the concert with the infamous “Cars.”
Switching gears and pulling out the guitar, Numan tore into newer material from the last five years, including “The Fall,” “Pure” and “Jagged,” ending with “Prayer for the Unknown” as the finale. Simply brilliant.
