It’s steamy, it’s sweaty, loud and rockin’ the rails. No, we’re not talking the Central Line at rush hour. It’s London’s Damn Vandals, bringing rock and roll back to it’s core of sex, drugs and desire.
The band’s latest album, ‘Rocket Out Of London,’ does indeed burst through the speakers with songs that swagger and swing loudly in your face, to “Twist Up And Tangle” you in a way that clears off any mental cobwebs hanging after hours at your office job.
With Jack Kansas on vocals and guitar, Adam Kilemore Gardens on bass, Frank Pick on guitar, on Chris Christianson on drums, Damn Vandals tap into the heart of the blues, layering punk palpitations a top guitar and rhythm lines that would make Lux Interior quiver with delight.
The London band is playing out in prep for the release of their new double A-side Damn Vandals single “Too Lazy To Die Too Stoned To Live” / “Cities Of A Plastic World, off of Rocket Out of London, out 22 September, 2014.
