This Saturday is second chapter in Scion’s Emerging
Artists Tour, which brings creative dance talents from
the underground to the masses, had its first 2005 run
last month on April 15. This time around the tour will
featuring the production and spinning talents of local
veterans Noah Deep and Aaron Eve.
For the last 10 years this team has entranced the masses
at both big and small parties, from Sun Festival 2000
and Universal Energy Pt 2: Neutronic, to club nights
all over Colorado, including the days in Boulder at
Soma to Denver spots like Moscow Underground and vinyl.
Today they’re both taking their careers to the
next level. As MIS Tech majors at CU Denver’s
Audio Engineering program, they’ve left the days
of cubical stations and Office Space scenarios behind.
“I quit a successful job at IBM to go back to
school to dedicate myself to it, and as some big doors
are opening up, I'm confident I've made a good decision,”
says Aaron Eve. But you can’t open up doors without
talent, and Aaron’s begun to make himself known
after winning the Global Underground Renaissance Tenth
Anniversary Remix competition with his storming Breaks
remix of the classic VFR track, "Trance Illusion."
Although they’re both in school for audio engineering,
they’re no neophytes. Noah Deep has been busy
for years growing his list of accomplishments, including
production and mastering credits with Swedish electronic
artists Don Q and Gustav Nordmark.
With an arsenal of determination, dedication and talent,
the duo is passionate about the path they’re laying
for themselves. “Right now we're both pretty focused
on contributing to building Denver’s scene, and
so [we] have been working to get recognition as DJ's.
We're both busy planning and working to make music a
long term career and will eventually have a couple business
ventures in the field,” Aaron Eve explains.
Future plans and potential ventures include opening
a mastering studio after they start a their own record
label. In the near future, Aaron Eve plans to release
more tracks signed to other labels, both as a solo artist
and as a collaborator with Noah Deep and other producers
in the area.
The tour that also runs through San Francisco, Austin
and Boston, will happen in Denver this Saturday, May
7 at Club Syn, located at 820 15th Street on the corner
of 15th and Champa. Along with Aaron and Noah, Ejay
will go head to head with Cody Lee, Eqqulei will team
up with Cacheflow, along with Tek Fox, N810, Gravity,
Motion, Platon, and Spank-E. The night starts at 8pm
and will go until 4am, with $1 beer specials, $3 Jaeger
shots, and $5 Red Bull Vodkas.
